How do I use salt licks?

The licks contain just the right amount of salt, corresponding to the specific appetites of livestock. This means you can make them freely available at all times (using a lick holder, if possible) for grazing or stabled animals on the basis of one 12 kg lick for 5 cows or 20 sheep/goats, with regular water intake.
